Rate of Play

40 moves in 1 hour 40 minutes, after which each player has a further 20 minutes to finish the game.  Swiss system of pairings.

 

Grading

January 2017 ECF grades will be used. Players not in possession of a current ECF grade must state their last published grade, and the year to which it applied. Players with no official grading must give evidence in writing of their playing strength and all their latest chess playing results. If in doubt, please check before entering, as non-disclosure of material facts may lead to disqualification.
